On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be warmly received by our guides and staff with garland and then transfer you to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed join in with other members of Pokali & Pikey Hill Cultural Trekking, our guide will brief you with information regarding trekking, do’s and don’ts, Nepalese culture, lodge on route trek with full information to make your stay with us enjoyable and memorable, evening welcome dinner at typical Nepalese restaurant with folk-cultural program as entertainment during dinner.

Day 01 Pick up in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.

Day 02 Kathmandu with sightseeing tour, trek briefing and preparations.
Morning after breakfast at given time for sightseeing tour, our city guides will meet you at the hotel for interesting sightseeing tour leading you in the heart of Kathmandu at old Durbar (palace) square of great historical importance includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.
Tour leads to famous landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.
Afternoon visit holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath adorned with silver doors and golden tiers roofed pagoda a popular and famous temple where thousands of pilgrims visits every year in the month of February on Shiva Rartri (Lord Shiva birth anniversary). From Pashupatinath a short drive to Bouddhanath with Asia’s largest domed Stupa with four cardinals eyes of Buddha surrounded with prayer wheels and small market with interesting stores, shops and restaurants, the place is also known as Little Tibet due to strong hold of Tibetan influenced tribe and peoples.
After an interesting and exciting tour of world heritage sites return back to hotel for Pokali & Pikey Hill Cultural Trekking preparation and for last minute briefing from our guides and staff.

Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Dhobi 450 m - 07 hrs journey.
Starting early morning drive to reach the low flatland Terai belt of Eastern Nepal where the journey leads past many farm village and towns on busy main highway of Kathmandu to other various destinations, while our drive continues on reaching the warmer areas of Terai and then heading north to reach our starting point of the trek at a small town in Dhobi.

Day 04 Trek to Sirishe Khola 1,130 m - 06 hrs.
From Dhobi where our first day walk begins following Sirishe Khola (stream) past spread out farm villages and well cultivated rice fields heading due north upstream on the bank of Sirishe Khola where air gets cooler as the walk leads to short climb and then on gradual trail to camp by Sisishe Khola shore, a place with a small farm village.

Day 05 Trek to Wachpu Villlage 1,440 m - 06 hrs.
Today, after being in much warmer areas our morning walk leads to a climb up the hill and ridges covered in nice Sal and Kapok trees around forested areas to reach at hill farm village of Wachpu where Solu district region begins, a nice hill village of mixed tribes of Hindu Bhramins-Chettries-Rais with some Magar and Tamang people.

Day 06 Trek to Ghising Danda 2,100 - 06 hrs.
From this small farm village walk leads towards cooler alpine areas where air gets much fresher along with dramatic landscapes views of rolling green hills and valleys with distant snow capped peaks towards north direction.
Walk with gradual climb past farm villages and cattle sheds and grazing fields and entering into a woodland filled with pines, oaks and rhododendron tree lines to reach at Ghising Danda, which means a hill ridge where the word Ghising comes from one of sub-cast of Tamang tribes.

Day 07 Trek to Chumlung 1,620 m - 05 hrs.
After a pleasant overnight stop at Ghising Danda on downhill path through forest to reach at Sallele with great views of 'Pokali Jharna' beautiful cascading waterfalls of Pokali, as from Ghising Danda to this point known as Pokali areas, all the way to our overnight stop at Chumlung village.
Enjoying the views of Pokali Jharna or waterfalls walk leads on a ridge line and then climb over Chiplu Bhanjyang a small pass of 2,578 m high offering glamorous views of surrounding landscapes with distant snow capped peaks.
Our walk descends through beautiful forest to reach our overnight stop in a small village at Chulung, an alpine farm area where the people hardly see foreigners passing their villages.

Day 08 Trek to Kilkhurding Gumba 2,740 m -06 hrs.
With lovely overnight stop at Chumlung our walk leads towards Ramdin Danda ridge line offering views of snowcapped peaks with Pikey hill top further north after a few hours of steep climb, then on downhill path through forest to reach at Kilkhurding Gumba for overnight stop.
A nice and wonderful spot with famous old monastery known as Gumba in Sherpa, Tamang and Tibetan language, the area around with small village of Sherpa and Tamang tribes.

Day 09 At Kilkhurding Gumba rest day to explore the pristine areas.
After days of tough and pleasant scenic, cultural walks today a free day to enjoy exploring the undisturbed and pristine surrounding, visit of Kilkhurding Gumba of Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism founded during the First Diffusion of Buddhism in Tibet in 8th century by Indian tantric master, Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), a teacher revered s the Second Buddha.
The Nyingmapa hold that there are nine paths to enlightments the first three based on the sutras and the other six on the tantras. Dzokchen ('Great Perfection') is a tantric discipline transmitted within the sect. Imbued with a Zen-like quality, it is based on a program of accelerated meditation, which enables the student to achieve enlightments within a relatively short time.
One of the important monasteries of Solu areas treasured with many ancient artifacts with great statues of Sakyamuni (present) Buddha with Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava).
Afternoon enjoy walks around this unexplored areas where villagers will be glad to interact with foreign trekkers.

Day 10 Trek to Taklung 3,306 m - 06 hrs.
With pleasant and wonderful stop at Kilkhurding Gumba, morning walk leads towards east taking an alternative path and into forested areas of beautiful rhododendron, magnolia, oaks and pine tree lines and as the walk progress climbing high to much cooler alpine zone at Taklung Danda a ridge, offering grand vista of landscapes and snow capped peaks slowly our walk brings you on the hill top of Taklung for overnight stop, camp is set on a nice grazing meadow with views.

Day 11 Trek to Pikey Hill base camp 3,680 m - 06 hrs.
From Taklung contouring along the ridge line to reach at Lhamuje a small grazing place with a shade with summer pasture fields for cattle and Yaks, within beautiful surrounding of tall rhododendron-birch and pine trees. Walk continues to a climb on Toriphale Danda (ridge) and coming to a small hut where the local produces cheese and butter.
After a good rest heading much higher into forest to reach our overnight camp at Pikey Hill base camp for overnight stops.

Day 12 Hike to Pikey Hill 4,067m with Everest panorama and to Ngaur Gumba -06 hrs.
Morning starting earlier with packed lunch heading away from the main trail towards off the beaten trails into dense forest of rhododendron-pines-oaks-birch and fir trees as the walk leads past several grazing pasture areas with a climb and with short downhill for a while.
After few rest stops our walk leads uphill into tree lines to reach on top of Pikey Hill top at 4,067 m high, the highest spot of our journey offering super wide angle views of snowcapped peaks of Gaurishanker-Melung Tse-Numbur-Cho-Oyu including Everest and Lhotse with other peaks of high Khumbu and Everest region.
Certainly a perfect panorama in the harmony of pristine surrounding then head back to another place at Ngaur Gumba for overnight stop after a lovely scenic and exciting morning walk to Pikey Hill top.

Day 13 Trek to Bhandar 2,190 m via Goli 1,760m - 07 hrs.
Starting early morning as the walk today will be the longest of 6 to 7 hours to reach at Bhandar beyond Goli village, morning walk leads to a descend entering into more farm areas and villages to reach a large Goli village with possible lunch stop, as per the time of arrival in this nice farm village.
After a pleasant stop at Goli continue walk with uphill climb past patch of forest and farm fields and then finally ending the long walk at Bhandar for overnight stop.
Bhandar located on famous classic route of Jiri to Everest Base Camp where you can notice in change of houses and nice lodge for trekkers to stay.

Day 14 Trek to Shivalaya 1,790 m - 05 hrs.
From Bhandar to Shivalaya walk leads on well define trails as this route well trekked areas, morning walk follows through Bhandar also known as Chyangma located around Ramechap district of mixed tribe Tamang-Hindu Chettris-Magar and dominantly Sherpa.
After the village a steep climb for few hours to reach at Deurali and then downhill into nice cool alpine forest to reach top of Shivalaya valley, and then a short descend brings you at Shivalaya village for overnight stop in the comfort of a nice lodge.

Day 15 Trek to Jiri 1,995 m - 05 hrs.
Morning crossing a suspension bridge over a river coming Rolwaling Himal, and then with climb walking past farm fields and terraces with scattered farm houses to reach on top of a ridge festooned with Buddhist prayer flags and monuments with grand views of landscapes and mountains. From the top another few hours of good downhill walks brings you at famous Jiri town, also known as Switzerland of Nepal, on reaching Jiri check into a nice comfortable hotels and lodge, with time to explore Jiri town and its bazaar.

Day 16 Trek back to Kathmandu via Charikot - 06 hrs.
After a wonderful adventure around Pokali & Pikey Hill Cultural Trekking morning a long and scenic drive leads you with ups and down past Tama Kosi (River) and hen up to nice town of Charikot and then on winding road with grand views of Gaurishanker and Jugal Himal range of peaks.
Drive descends towards Bhote Kosi River on Kathmandu –Lhasa Friendship Highway at Khalechaur, as the journey continues with uphill to Dhulikhel a wonderful scenic spot and then on good road reaching back in the hustle-bustle city life of Kathmandu with wonderful times on the mid hills and remote areas of Nepal Himalaya.

Day 17 International departure for homeward bound.
Last day in Nepal in the land of great Himalayan wonders with fascinating culture, after a wonderful time with fond memory of Pokali & Pikey Hill Cultural Trekking an adventure of life time experience, as per your international flight time our staff transfers you to Airport for the flight back home or to respective countries.
